Joy-Con
The Nintendo Switch has a controller on each side of the console that works in harmony: the Joy-Con.

By attaching both Joy-Cons to the Joy-Con holder, they will work together as a single traditional controller. Without the stand, they work independently, like two controllers in their own right.

A touch sensation that goes beyond simple vibrations
Imagine that the Joy-Con is a glass containing ice cubes. Thanks to HD vibrations, when you move and tilt the Joy-Con, you feel the ice cubes collide.

There’s one, there’s another… the HD vibrations are so realistic you can even tell how many ice cubes there are, almost like you’re holding a glass.

Shape, Motion, and Distance Detection
The motion-sensing infrared camera in the Joy-Con (R) is capable of detecting the shape, motion, and distance of objects captured by the camera.

For example, it can detect if the hand takes a specific shape such as in the game rock-paper-scissors. This function also makes possible completely new gaming experiences like those of Nintendo Labo (sold separately).
